Currently, Clifford the Big Red House looks like this:

And This:
Not too hospitable.
But I am hopeful that come spring Clifford will feel less like a discarded set from Rent: The Musical, and more like this “Fun, Flirty Townhouse” designed by Jonathan Berger that was featured awhile back in House Beautiful.

Perhaps with a bit less pink for Petey Pie, but you get it. What do you think guys? Is it possible? Am I crazy for embarking on this renovation? Will we ever have a habitable home?

I would love to hear from you! Please leave a comment below!
With patience and the budget you can do it.
it will be amazing!!!
excited to be able to follow the progress

Wow…this looks like a huge undertaking. I would almost think that you could do better gutting the entire building and starting new.
waow that was amazing
what a magic you did to that i really love it
you should be a magician
Jane & Jessica- Thanks so much for the words of encouragement! I am excited to see how it turns out!
Mrs.Me- It is just ridiculous. You are right, and that is what we have done. We have gutted the entire building and have just left the shell because it is a historic home and it is very important for us to preserve the exterior. The interior had already been destroyed by two poorly executed modern renovations, so there was really not much to salvage!
Nina- Thanks! But I can’t take credit just yet, the “Fun Flirty Townhouse” featured is not ours, that is what I HOPE our project turns into, but for now that is just a dream provided for us by House Beautiful. Check back in though to see how it does turn out!
