I hear all the time how hard guys are to shop for. Obviously if that is the case the men in your life do not have the passion for fashion my darling Chuck-Bass-In-Training exhibits, but do not despair, I still have some ideas for you…
I think the key to giving good guy gifts is to realize that guys don’t seem to like stuff as much as girls do. They like to do stuff, and eat stuff, and play with stuff, but they don’t seem to take any real pleasure in acquiring stuff.
So first step in the guy gift guide is to think about the special man friend in your life, and what they like to do!
Is he a foodie?

This cookbook is super guy friendly…

…And my chef-y guy friends swear by this one…
Perhaps pair it by taking him to a new hip restaurant in your area…

Or you could sign him up for a cheese of the month club?

I am obsessed with this Nespresso machine. It is completely fool proof and makes delicious cups of espresso in an instant which tends to really impress guests and keep the party going!
Is he a sporting fellow?
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, hook them up with tickets to watch their favorite team, or get them lessons!
To make it a bit more special pair it with some athletic gear…I hear there are some great discounts on Tiger Woods Products these days…
OR these golf bags that are equipped with iPod speakers are fun too!
Does he have a mild but endearing alcohol problem?
Smoking Mittens, perfect for lighting up outside a bar on a cold winters night
Whiskey Stones so that his single malt doesn’t get wattery…
Does he have an alcohol problem that he calls being a “wine connoisseur”?
This company is great. You can either do a super cute gift certificate….
Or choose from one of their many thoughtful and hilarious themed gift baskets.
The Ski Weekend: Snuggle by the fire with Armagnac, cozy cashmere socks, lip balm—and your sexy partner.
The Southern Gent: Every day can be Derby day with this mint julep kit including Bulleit Bourbon, 2 silver julep cups & the story of America’s Triple Crown book & DVD.
The Lambrusco Duo: This pair of artisan lambruscos, one white and one red, are a special twist on sparkling holiday wines. I often start with the crisp Lini white as a dry aperitif and move to the equally dry Saetti red with a little cheese and salumi.
Do they play/listen to music?
Try music lessons, or concert tickets…
I have these iPod speakers and every guy who comes over freaks out about them. They have a great sound, use batteries, and also works with radio stations etc. To really take it to the next level load up an iPod full of “your” songs to accompany it. Aww.
Is he super crunchy/into the great outdoors?

For $399 Urban Outfitters who has teamed up with Republic Bikes to let you completely custom design your own rad pair of wheels.

Give them this bike bell and let them have the fun of designing their new bike!
What do you think? Did these get your creative juices flowing? Have any other gift ideas for guys you would like to share?
