I see you.

A few weeks ago I saw this story about how Avatar was making people suicidal after leaving the theatre because they couldn’t cope with the knowledge that our world will never be as beautiful as Pandora. Stories like this really make it difficult for me to relate to people. Everything about it is just so. dumb.

Well.

Then I went and saw Avatar with Pete on Saturday, and walked out of the theatre with my very own little depressed wannabe Navi. All night during dinner, “Pete, how is your food”. “It’s ok. But it’s not Avatar”. No. No you are correct, it’s white fish. And it looks delicious, mind you. But no, not as good as Avatar.

Did I mention to you that Pete also got himself some new glasses? And this is what he looks like now?

Oh, I didn’t? I’m sorry. I am sure this whole story makes much more sense now.

Anywhoo. I did think Avatar was pretty rad. But I am an optomist, unlike a certain husband-to-be of mine, and I do think this world can be as beautiful as Pandora, all it needs is a little splish of NEON.

But not everyone can stand to live in neon (c’mon, what are you afraid of? Look at Mathew up there in his jaunty hat, doesn’t he look happy!?) So what about just a little dash of bright?
