Thank you so much, Bailey, for including me in your guest blogger series! Spring is such an exciting time in Chicago – we get to trade our UGG boots for wellies and can finally walk the dogs without reaching for our mittens. Here’s a peak at some of my favorite spring time rituals.

The county tornado sirens are tested the first Tuesday morning of the month. Midwesterners love themselves a good thunderstorm. In fact, the only thing I didn’t like about my semester in London was that I didn’t hear thunder for the four months I was there. Depressing.

Paris, always.
3. My favorite way to celebrate the season is…
(Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in Chicago! There are no words for this celebration. I mean, they DYE the river GREEN!
4. My Spring Cleaning projects/resolutions are…
To finish off our small guest room for the many out-of-town visitors who will be spending weekends with us this summer. It needs to be done on a budget, so I am using this sweet but simple guest room from Bower Power as inspiration.
5. The must have for my Spring Wardrobe is…
These Tory Burch Thora flip flops, at the advice of my best friend who has a pair. They’re pretty expensive considering they’re flip flops but you can dress them up or down, and I’ll live in them from April through September.
6. My favorite way to bring the season into my home is…
Add fresh flowers to every room and open the windows! My apartment has a ton of windows, and nothing smells as good as fresh air after a spring rain. Ooo I’m excited just thinking about it!
