Thank Buddha, It’s Spring: High-Heeled Foot in the Door

So it is officially March, which in the more civilized parts of this country means that Winter is over. I have heard some really vicious rumors that March is actually the worst month of the year up yonder because it tricks you with it’s initial temperateness and then, BAM, blizzard. But I refuse to believe such things. And so I have gathered some of my most favorite lady and gent bloggers to sing Spring’s praises along with me. We are all about positive reinforcement over here, Mother Nature, don’t make me get the belt…

First up is Camila of High-Heeled Foot in the Door. I am a huge fan of her blog, and know I am going to be a huge fan of her Interior Decorating company she recently started. Seriously, if you have seen any of her inspiring DIY transformations you know, chick is going places!

1. I know Spring has sprung in my neck of the woods when…

I start seeing cadbury crème eggs spring up everywhere along with the commercial playing non-stop on TV! They are my absolute favorite guilty pleasure and during the spring I let myself indulge in them a little more often than normal. Yum!

2. If I could go anywhere for Spring Break this year it would be…

It would be Barcelona. I think my many viewings of Vicky Cristina Barcelona with the beautiful scenery, yummy food and even yummier Javier Bardem are making this a must take trip. I’m itching to go. I will sporadically start singing a song from the movie, in which the one word I remember is Barcelona, Barcelona. Hoping that it starts drilling the idea into my hubby’s head. It would be a lovely birthday surprise. Hint, hint hubby May will be here before we know it.vicky-christina-barcelona

3. My favorite way to celebrate the season is…

Being surrounded by fresh flowers. So I love tending to the garden outside and stocking up on flowers during my Trader Joes trips!

4. My Spring Cleaning projects/resolutions are…

I must finish my dining room. It’s been a blank room for 2 years. For the first year and half we didn’t even have furniture. Not for my lack of trying. We tried out two different table/chair combos and both had to be returned for one reason or another. We now have a lovely vintage set from a local thrift shop that I snagged for 400 bucks. The design plan is all set now I just need to get the ball rolling. I don’t want to give too much away, but a little bit of this fabric will be making an appearance in the space!

5. The must have for my Spring Wardrobe is…

This number is screaming “Camila!” so I would love to incorporate into my spring time wardrobe. If you know me even a little you’ll know that I’ll take just about anything from KS. My heart bleeds Kate Spade green. It is a bit pricey, but I think I would wear it with everything! Must start a collection on blog to get funds. Just kidding….kinda

6. My favorite way to bring the season into my home is…

This is the same answer to question 3. Flowers, flowers, flowers. I wish I made into Manhattan more often. As is I go in once a week, but I would love to have all those fab deli’s around my house blooming with 2 dozen roses for 10 bucks! Roses aren’t normally my go-to flower, but with two dozen for $10 I could fill every room in my house with a little flower power.

How pretty are these blooms from http://www.saipua.blogspot.com/? Heaven.

A big thanks to Bailey for asking me to participate. It was a lot of fun and has me looking forward to days full of sunshine instead of rain and snow!

No, no. Thank YOU Camila, and if any of you aren’t already avid readers of her blog, I suggest you head on over right now and right that wrong.

I would love to hear from you! Please leave a comment below!
