Happy St. Patty’s Day!! Well, Happy St. Patty’s Day Parade Day!
(Urban Grace)
Here in Chicago it seriously is happier than Christmas and rowdier than New Years. You have NO idea how ethnic this town is. When Pete and I first started dating I would laugh at all of his friends names. Grabowski, Germani, Lutz, Scardina, Beirich, Oleszkiewicz…Like seriously. And now I am one of them, as my married name will be…wait for it…wait for it…
Bailey Quin McCarthy
I know.
Not too mention I am super short. Basically follow a rainbow and you might find me sitting at the end of it guarding my pot of gold.
So today I will join my people in my finest green gear, drinking green beer (Leprechauns rhyme I am pretty sure), in a city that loves its Irish heritage so much so that it dies the river than runs through the middle of the city bright green.
G’day Mates! Got any St. Patty’s plans of your own?

WHOA. my married name is SO similar to that.
can’t wait for st. patrick’s day – have fun!!
Susie…I am not sure I follow your reasoning here.
Haha, Pete has such weird friends!!! Hope you enjoyed St. Pat’s in Chicago!
Bails the reasoning of Paddy’s vs. Patty’s is that Patty is considered a girl’s name so because it is Patrick (a guy’s name) the nickname (according the the hardcore Irish AKA my Grandmother) is Paddy or Pat… not Patty
P.S. Super jealous of your UBER Irish name… All I have is the tolerance
Spring air after a rainstorm is the best, I totally agree! Cute interview!
