Ladies and Gentlemen…

…We have a (few) Winner(s)…

Thank you to EVERYONE for making our first giveaway such a success, and for taking the time to leave me some really inspiring suggestions for my new biznass venture.

There was a lot of interesting feedback…Some people HATE my pink tufted background, Peppermint Bliss, and happiness I assume, and would prefer I just have a complete lobotomy and start designing Spas with Candace Olsen or something. Others think I am the bees knees! They say I am “the Betsey Johnson of the design world”, they “love how you always have super funky things alongside some classical stuff”, and think I “have the best taste”.

Guess who I listened to?

Picking a winner was like my own hellish Sophie’s Choice. But I did. And not just based on flattery, I genuinely appreciate the constructive criticism, I just felt like some of you got what I am all about better than others. And then I used random.org to pick a random winner by comment number.

So…Congratulations!!!!

Paloma:

OMG, Bailey, I have been DYING for a lucite tray from iomoi for years! I am definitely crossing my fingers to win!! I am following you on FB and Twitter.

My advice:
I think your design aesthetic is modern and a little quirky, so you definitely want to capitalize on that. It is what sets you apart. That and your fierce sense of humor. I’m not sure that I love Peppermint Bliss as a name for a design business. It reminds me more of ice cream than interiors, but I have a major sweet tooth, so I always have ice cream on the brain. I think Bliss Interiors by Bailey LastName would be great. That way, you have a connection to the brand you’ve already begun to build on your blog, but the identity of the business is more clearly defined. As far as your logo goes, I would suggest something graphic. Do you have a favorite graphic pattern? Chevron? Greek Key? Trellis? Quatrefoil? I would probably do the pattern in the background and then do your logo in a really cool, complementary font. I feel like the iomoi look reflects your style so much, so I am sure that you could take some design cues from there. Everything they do is bananas amazing! More than anything, I think you have an fabulous sense of humor and I see that reflected in everything you do. You would be designing for the young, hip person who embraces trends, but doesn’t allow them to dictate everything they do. You keep it chic without being stuffy. You would be the type of designer who would design an amazeballs room without making it feel pretentious or completely unattainable.

P.S. I just checked Go Daddy and blissinteriordecoration.com, blissbybailey.com, and a few other domains are available. I don’t know if you’ve shared your last name on your blog, so I’ll just say your first and last name +design.com or first and last name + interiors.com are also available.

and…

Erin…

SO

If you two could email me PeppermintBliss@gmail.com with your selection and shipping info I will get them to you ASAP.

Not to get all “aww” on you guys, but seriously your advice meant so much to me. Even the harsh stuff. I wish I could reward you ALL with iomoi trays, and puppies, and kisses for being so wonderful.I truly value your comments/perspective and hope I keep hearing from all of you. And because I love you all so much I am going to have to do another equally awesome giveaway very soon!

I was even quoted in your post today and still didn’t win a lucite tray!!! haha just giving you a hard time…anyways, I figured my odds were slim so I decided last week I was going to make my own rendition of a lucite tray so I ordered a clear acrylic tray online and am waiting for it to come in the mail before I design the graphic! I’ll keep you posted!! Keep on blogging….love it!
