For our first giveaway here on Peppermint Bliss we will be giving away not one, but TWO lucite trays from iomoi.
Yep that is right, two of you can be winners today.
AND you can choose the design/monogram of your tray from their plethora of options. Here are just a few!
Remember when I put it out into the Universe that I wanted PB to be legit and lead me to things like fame, fortune, and best friendship with Britney Spears?

Well it’s allll happening.
I am in the process of launching my own decorating business after being hired by my first real life client! I am redesigning the PB logo (It worked for awhile, but I think it’s a little cheese and not really what I am all about. Plus it is never a good sign when your avatar is hotter than you are) and will be launching a separate website for my decorating business where you can view my portfolio, and even hire me and make my dreams come true. You could be like the Richard Gere to my Julia Roberts.
And so to thank all of you, my beloved stalkers who have made this silly little site somewhat successful.
So listen up. There are 2 ways to win.
But to be considered eligible you must follow this blog either on twitter, facebook, or through subscription to be considered. So please choose your preferred method of worship in the top right corner and let me know how you get your PB in your comment.
1. One winner will be chosen on the merit of their advice. These new endeavors require quite a bit of branding. So for all of my most loyal readers, what do you think of when you think of Peppermint Bliss and my personal design aesthetic? Any ideas for my decorating business name? Logo? How would you describe what I am all about? Who am I? The most helpful answer wins one tray.

Hey girl – Here’s my 2 cents: There are tons of design firms out there with classy names and safe logos and beige or kelly green all over the place. I think I want you to be the Betsey Johnson of the design world, with wild, outlandish offerings. Everyone needs a tufted headboard in hot pink leather like the background of this blog!

hi! what a great contest! okay….here’s my two cents….as an interior designer, the hot pink tufted whatever….is it a vinyl headboard? are you a brothel? is it the back of a chair? are you a restaurant? …has got to go!
…find something else. fushia vinyl doesn’t equal bliss. make it more calming, peaceful, hate to use the over-used term, “spa like” but that kind of feeling. a break from our crazy lives. and why peppermint bliss? it sounds like an ice cream store not a design firm. why not just “bliss.”?
and the logo….i’m so over the stylized women. avatars? whatever. get rid of it. it’s too distracting. people start wondering if that’s what you look like in real life (i’m sure you are much better loooking!) and they stop focusing on your talent as a designer.

I say keep Peppermint Bliss! I love it so much! Why not pull some inspiration from those adorable trays, the patterns or initials for your logo…in pepperminty colors of course! I mean…follow your bliss? If I was a young lady living in the Chicago area, I would be so drawn to a decor firm like that…its minty fresh and fab! That is your clientele…go with what you would be drawn to and you can’t go wrong! Best of luck to you, it all sounds very exciting!!! Will follow your escapades on Twitter!

1.Blissful Designs (added bonus of these being your initials, have been trying to think of a good Q word for the middle but my brain is fried on term papers.)
2. Beehive Designs- after the Austin house and your B-ness
3. Winkle Designs- because I love a good Kent reference
C.) Logo- something Pucci-esqu as in bright colors and amazing patterns- also for the blog maybe your avatar needs avatar versions of the pups to play with!

You’re blog is precious! One of my favorite reads. Sorry to say I do not FB or Twitter. (I think they’re a little time consuming and invasive.) As for the company name you’re thinking too hard, you already have it. -DESIGN BLISS- It’s perfect! I want to hire you to design my bliss already.
Also, I TOTALLY disagree with Janet. You’re background is funky and fun. “Spa like” is sooooo over done these days. Stay true to yourself. That’s the way to true success. I’m working on the logo thing. Keep up the good work. I’m loving it as always.

Anyhow I think you should get rid of the tufted background, and maybe take on something more relevant to your name?
Maybe a piece of furniture illustrated with a striped peppermint style fabric? Say a chair or a couch as your blog banner? I think that would look cute… Perhaps you can also add a short summary and tell us what our blog is about somewhere near the top.
Definitely get a more hip looking logo…a more interesting font would give it some distinctiveness….

i truly adore this blog and your design aesthetic. i think you offer a really creative and fun way to be traditional and current at the same time. your vision incorporates new and exciting trends in a way that will endure – and that you wont get sick of in a year! i think a name or brand should somehow tap into that really fun duality – something like the “New Traditional” or the “Chic Timeless” approach … a really cool hip monogram logo would be perfect, using the traditional (and amazing) concept of a monogram but with a fun very of-the-moment font versus something scripty, scrolly or more dated. i also sort of just LOVE your use of the word peppermint, it evokes a really fun fresh happy thought thats kind of irresistible… what about something like Peppermint Presentations and a really cool PP monogram logo? something that captures both the chic lifestyle you help people to achieve, and the comfortable livable room they will grow with for years to come.

I love your style. I think there’s so much you could do with a logo – I’m thinking a striped peppermint candy with a block text below it. I think it’s so fun to come up with branding ideas that can you be used on all of your materials.

PB Design Aesthetic: spot on. classy, yet fun. elegant, with a twist. corky, witty, wildly entertaining! you bring the flavor!
Decorating business name: Bailey Quin Self and Home. BQ Self and Home, Bailey Quin. This way you could have a “Daniel” collection with a little Texas flavor and a “McCarthy” collection with Chicago/urban flavor, etc.
Logo: If you were to go with Bailey Quin Self and Home. I would play with your initials, BQ. Fine soft lines, the Q perhaps overlapping the bottom of the B so it is a little “off”. I have visuals, but cannot put it here. I think the lower case of those letters could be pretty too! I’m playing around with fonts so I’ll pass something along if it’s good!
What are you about: I think all the things listed in PB aesthetic. You love design, you have a great eye for it, and it shows!
