Thank You, Sweet Baby Jesus…

…For This…

Summer is smoochin’ our neck here in Chicago, and I have meetings today with the landscaper so that hopefully, post construction, we can somehow turn this:
Into something more closely resembling this:or this:(Jonathan Adler)

And then I will trick out my city oasis with items from Terrain:

And I will invite you all over for bar-b-q’s.

And serve delicious fresh veggies from my garden, and we will all be skinny and smug about our lovely vegetable lifestyle

And we won’t even HAVE to drink, things will be so merry.

But we will, because, I mean…honestly.

Damn you, Texas girl. I HATE the heat. Hah give me the 70s and sunny and keep your 90-degree heat-wave. On another note, LOVE both those inspiration images and loving this Terrain store you speak of. Can’t wait to see what you do!

Love that second outdoor space. I’m not a huge grass fan so that’s perfect for me! Some beautiful patterned concrete, nice outdoor furniture, add a couple of twinkle lights and we are good to go!

I’m so taking you up on the bbq offer once it’s all done. Also, you’ve probably already seen this: http://remodelista.com/posts/outdoors-townhouse-garden-round-up# but I thought it had some sweet inspiration for a smallish backyard.

Bailey, since finding your blog I have to admit I have been combing through the Archives while bored at work, and after giggling at my desk to this post I feel like I should take a moment to declare how much I adore you. Partly because you are helping pass the time (8.5 hours of work till Friday happy hour!) but mostly because you are hilarious. Keep it up lady!
