Bailey! I agree with many comments above ~ just be yourself and look at it as a chance to get comfortable with your photographer and being in front of the camera SO much your jaw will hurt from smiling Don’t do anything cheesy, and don’t follow the trends, they are trends for a reason and will soon look dated. Just do things (go places) that are meaningful to you and the pictures will always be meaningful to you. But most of all, just have a ton of fun!!

Have fun with it! Since you are not getting married in Chicago..It might be fun to do some shots by famous chicago landmarks….You can get great shots on the lake my the museums…the bean, chicago theatre, financial district (on a saturday you should be able to get shots in the middle of the road), under the L in the loop on lake street etc..

get in the spirit of things my little peppermint pureness!

go on a riverboat thing and take pics w/ Chicago sky line in the background (duh stole that from the recent episode of bachelorette)

go to beautiful hinsdale and take pics on petey’s lovely front porch…HELLO. those white rocking chairs = pureness

get your bum over to a bakery and do a jessica simpson style cupcake shoot (ok this one was a joke )

I like Katharine (never seen someone else with the second ‘a’ – way to go!)’s suggestions… I have a few others as well. What about Navy Pier, or the botanical garden… or where you met, where your first date was, anywhere the two of you spend time together. The bottom line is just to HAVE A GOOD TIME with each other and trust that the photographer will capture good images of fun and sweet moments. It’s a great idea to try to get comfortable with your particular photographer, because then you’ll be less likely to focus on him and his camera on W-day. Good luck!

Go to your favorite places/do your favorite things! It will make you feel more comfortable. Also, your photographer will tell you what to do, so only worry about what specific shots you want if you have some in mind. You’ll feel uncomfortable at first, but eventually you’ll get over it. There’s no way you won’t have at least 3-4 cute pics because they take a ton! So feel comfortable knowing that at least you’ll have those to show off Just pick up some cute outfits and don’t worry–no matter what, they’ll be a reflection of the both of you.
