Refreshed, Replenished, and…

Rotund.

Is how I head back to Chicago today. My time in Houston was just what the doctor ordered. I am all warmed up, my skin is slightly less green, and if I stay here one more day I might actually turn into a tub of Blue Bell ice cream.

My Birthday was for sure the highlight of the trip. Everything was perfection, starting first with the Birthday Cake.

Please let me describe for you my experience ordering my Birthday Cake.

Me: Hi, I would like to place an order for a Barbie birthday cake for a party on Saturday and I don’t really know how that works.

Moeller’s Employee: Ok, well we can place the order today, take your information, and then you will need to bring us a barbie tomorrow and the cake will be ready for you on Saturday.

Me: Awesome.

Moeller’s Employee: Ok so can I please get your name and number and what size cake would you like, 10 or 12 inch.

Me: My name is Bailey McCarthy and my number is 713-9**-**** and I would like a 12 inch cake.

Moeller’s Employee: Ok, what color would you like the dress?

Me: Pink, obviously.

Moeller’s Employee: And what should the message on the cake read?

Me: Happy Birthday Bailey

Moeller’s Employee: *Long Pause* Umm…Is this cake for you?

Me: Yes.

Moeller’s Employee: How old are you?

Me: 25.

Moeller’s Employee: Are you serious?

Me: Yes, and remember, the 12″ inch. Please and Thank You.

Let me just show you how elegant this confection turned out.Stunning.

I have had a Moeller’s Barbie cake at all of my happy birthdays since I was a very little girl and no amount of Baker disapproval was going to shame me from having one at this seminal celebration.

I will be back tomorrow with to recap the rest of my most wonderful 25th Birthday Parlay…
HAPPY PRESIDENT’S DAY!

Ain’t no shame in a Barbie cake- love it! Wish we had a bakery in Atlanta that could create those kind of culinary masterpieces b/c I’d be all over that shizzle like white on rice. Except I’d probably get a My Little Pony cake. Happy belated birthday!
