…And now a Happy McBaby Nursery Post…

And now I think it is time for a HAPPY McBaby post.

Our lucky little lady is getting not one, but TWO nurseries!
I know…right??

So after she is released to us from the NICU the Doctor’s at TCH will want to continue to monitor her pretty closely, and we are planning on staying in Houston for a few weeks to make that easier. Since she will be spending her first few weeks “at home” at my moms house here- and then probably a lot of time in the future- we decided to put together a proper nursery situation.

We decided to turn this guest bedroom into Girly McBaby’s guest nursery, and yesterday the crib and bedding came!

And its GOOOLLDDD. We wanted to keep it gender neutral so that it could w0rk for future babies. And I love the pure white, although the embroidery is obv a little girly, I just think its pretty and it doesn’t matter.

The dresser used to be where the crib is, but we moved it and I think it will make the perfect changing table…

There is still enough room to keep the existing bed…And I am just really pleased with the whole situation.

The bedroom is across the hall from the bedroom Pete and I will be staying in all summer and it is so fun to get to have a real nursery set up in our temporary digs. It is such a fun daily reminder that GM is coming, and it makes it all feel more real and exciting.

You know what also makes it real and exciting?

This humongousness.

And don’t worry, we are moving the mirror above the crib so it won’t be dangerous for GM.

Girl you look beautiful – I am way jealous of that bump! And that crib is so gorgeous and gold I am screaming… Fact, my mother had a crib for my younger siblings made by Million Dollar Baby that looked so so similar to this one but it had a scrapy white finish. P.S. there is nothing more chic than fresh white and creams for a gender neutral baby nursery – I know this because I worked in a fab baby boutique for 3 years in high school.
