Remember this room idea I posted about? Inspired by the Zap rug Mrs. ISuwannee found?
Well I think that is what I want to do for our living room when we move. We are out of here in two weeks.
Yes. TWO weeks.
That is madness people. And I have to say I am sad, but not as sad as I thought I would be. I think mostly because I have been focusing on the excitement of this next chapter in our lives, and of course the opportunity to jazz up another house.
So although we toyed with the idea of selling our house here furnished, I decided that was dumb and I love my furniture too much and starting all over would probably be the death of me. But I think we might put a different twist on our existing pieces.
Fresh start, ya know?
So our current living room might be in for a St. Valentine esque makeover.
Inspired by the rug, my fave Miles room, and Girly McBaby, of course.
Surprisingly, Pete doesn’t object. I think he knows every night of his life is about to be ladies night, and has lost his will to fight it.

love the new room idea! but…i am sad to think about the world losing those chairs! being the dumb non-decorator that i am, i don’t know how this works…can you at least save the velvet floral fabric when you recover them? i will buy that shit from you in a second!
This room makes me SO happy. It’s bright and springy but still year-round, with equal mixture of funk and class. Plus if the baby spills juice on the rug it’ll blend in! Full success.

I agree with MFAMB! Especially regarding those chairs! They are my favorite! I have shown the pictures of those chairs to so many people. I will seriously drive to Chicago and take them off your hands. They are too perfect to change yet!
