More George Banks Bathroom action…

People ask me a lot what my favorite rooms to decorate are…and I think I would have to say bathrooms. I just love tile and bathroom fixtures and working within smaller spaces.

However, even though the bathrooms in our new house were all really outdated, I wanted to try my hand at frugality and leave them alone since they still functioned. But then we discovered that there was water damage below the two remaining bathrooms we weren’t messing with, and decided that if we were going to go in and fix problems we should just fix them all.

So, YAY FOR ME!! More fun projects!

In the smaller bedroom/bathroom I am using the sailboat wallpaper that we had at Clifford, The Big Red House.

This one:

I barely got to enjoy it as it went up only a few months after we moved and I love it so.

We are mixing it up with the tile though……Going with a turk-waz clover number that I find delightful. The color is a lot better in person. And then this fun penny tile on the floor.

It definitely leans boy, but I think it could be cute for a bitty girl too depending on what future nuggets we have.

THEN in the other guest bath, we are going WILD people.

I have been obsessed with this wallpaper forever, and am so excited to have somewhere to use it.

On the floor we are going with a white penny tile to save some monies. On the shower surround we are going to do a chartreuse glass subway tile.

That is the tile color in a porcelain sample…

Here it is in the glass.

You crack me up, “‘try my hand at frugality…’” You make it sound like a mere inconvenience. At our casa, it’s more like an edict! ;)

    Kate- I’ll try!

Hi Bailey! Re-doing our bath so I’ve been looking at your old BR pics. LOVE this penny round. Do you remember where you got it or who made it? I haven’t been able to find any sheets of penny round in different colors like this.

You are so sweet to take the time to respond. I am extremely appreciative. Feliz Navidad!

Hi, I was just looking through past home pics on your blog and my jaw dropped when I came across this sailboat wallpaper. I hope you don’t mind my copy cat obsessed self by me asking where and how I could get some for our bathroom? Please and thank you in advance!
