Humiliation Diet Update: FINALLY!!!

I am FINALLY losing weight. Officially 5 pounds down now.

And you know what the secret is? I didn’t tell anyone because I didn’t want the internet to know I was home alone and come murder me, but Pete was gone for 5 days last week while he was in Chicago taking the Bar. So I was on my own with Gracie. So I had no time to eat. And she is a complete roly poly handful.

I decided to bring Gracie up to Chicago to meet Pete and celebrate his being finished with that horrible, dirty test, and see his family. So I flew with the petite baguette all by myself, and survived. Dare I say it, we thrived. Just two chicks, traveling the world together. But anyway, that’s where we are now, and I want to enjoy our time here so I’m going to go, but I will see you people back here Monday!

Also, how skinny are all of you? Disappearing before your own eyes?

I bet. Tell me ’bout it.

congrats!! I am only 7.4 lbs away from my ultimate goal! Trying to get there before my June wedding :) Since graduating college 2 years ago I’ve lost close to 25 lbs overall. It’s been a journey but I think possibly the most exciting part is knowing that I’m much MUCH healthier (could have do with the dramatic decrease in pizza/beer binge.) But you’re setting a wonderful example for little girl, and that is something amazing.

Props for independence! I can’t imagine how difficult traveling with a baby is. Last week I sat next to a mom on her own who asked me to hold her little bundle of joy about 25% of the flight. Now, I’m not gonna lie I loved it, BUT what if I was a crazy betch with an infectious disease?? Hope that people were super helpful to you & Gracie on your way to Chi Town haha

Great news about the weight loss! Congrats! I saw this and think every parent- new or experienced- should take a look. It’s happy:

AWESOME!!!!! I should get myself a little croissant so the pounds will start melting.

I’m down 5 pounds since TUESDAY. I started the Dukan Diet and I can eat all the delicious burger patties and fried eggs and fat free cheese I want. Oh, and fat free no sugar added froyo. That’s right, FROYO. Truly a magnificent invention this diet is.

See! It’s all about keeping busy… the snacking just… goes away. It’s weird.

Big congrats, lady! 5 lbs is no small feat!

    And congrats to Pete!

I hit my 10# mark this week. 14 more to go! Long time coming. Phew. I’ve been sticking to weight watchers religiously and besides for my occasional cocktail I dont even use the flex points anymore. Little victory. Woo.

I want to be your real life friend. I imagine you flee with Gracecakes like a 1960′s starlet.

You are such a badass for flying solo with your baby girl! Bravo, Bailey! And congrats on your diet progress too, that first 5 pounds was pure torture for me too. Keep it up, it gets easier and easier!

    AAAHHHH!!! You did it! Congratulations!

And, I might add that you really did it… I am officially on a mini diet to lose 10 lbs. So far, I am down 2 since I started on Monday. I am off to stare at cupcakes online. I know it is sick, but it brings me joy. so sad.

Im thinking im going to buy that jonathan adler pillow and tape it to my refrigerator! Actually, I have a picture of Miss Heidi K. and another picture of a “fatty” eating cake taped to my frig right now… it seems to be working! HA!

    Congrats!

Been meaning to tell you about two gadgets that I found that have helped me loose weight (just because they make me more aware). One is the Withings wifi scale, (it has an app and every time you weigh it uploads it to your app and you can really keep track of your weight! The other is called a fitbit, it tracks your steps, calories burned, and a bunch of other stuff but for me it makes me more motivated to get up off the sofa and do something.

You know we are excited, we were just trying to contain ourselves! I am all about instant gratification, so I am happy that this is a quick turnaround. Sorry for you, but you will be so busy, you will not even be aware of all of the calories you are burning! Go B!

Skinny? Um, no. But honey, not for lack of trying.

My girl is almost 8 months now and I’ve got this 8-10 lbs left just hanging on for dear life. I’m still nursing so I’m trying not to crazy diet. But I’m working out and I’m not seeing a difference yet.

For now, I’m trying to be positive about my extra curves. Trying!
