…Thought I would find myself in a skinny jean at my current weight class. Much less a PATTERNED skinny jean. Pattern draws the eye like a beacon, and as much as possible in life I would prefer the spotlight to not be on my ass.
And yet, here we are!
Don’t mind my surroundings in the picture, I am not currently being held in Saw’s torture chamber. That’s just where I have been taking on my client projects lately. And the only room in the house with a full length mirror.
The best part about those dotty skinnies? They are SO COMFY COZY!
They are the AG Polka Dot Ankle Stevie.
I feel like a whole new woman getting dressed and not putting something with a significant spandex (read lulu lemon) component on my hind parts for the first time in a year. It is a good thing.
So now I am considering these:
Too much of a good thing?
Anyone have them? How do they fit?
I am sort of anti buying real clothes until I am at a more stable point, but I feel like having something to wear that makes me not feel like a slob currently is important. And the thing about these statement jeans is that I can wear them with flats and a tshirt and look like I know anything about what is going on in the current world of fashion, and can still roll around and play with my butterball.
But please, tell me the truth. Have I lost my mind? Are AG brand jeans like sisterhood of the traveling magic pants and that is why they fit so well, and all other brands will crush my soul?
This is unfamiliar territory and I need you people.
I LOVE your dots & I think you are right on w/ wanting another pair! If you feel like another pattern is too much, how ’bout a pair in a bold color..red, violet or even a pair in salmon a la Ms. Middleton.
I’ve never worn AG so i can’t speak to their magical fit but I find J Brand to be supremely comfy! They are the brand that got the one & only Anna Wintour to wear jeans, and that B doesn’t mess around! Congrats on your return to pants w/o an elastic waistband!
AG are the only jeans I wear. I have skinny legs but big hips and they are so flattering, don’t stretch out too much, and don’t fade. My favorites are the Legging Super Skinny and the Stilt. I do order them one size up from my normal jean size…but I guess this is my normal jean size now since I won’t wear my Sevens or Citizens again! Glad you discovered them also!
Those are the cutest! Yes, AG jeans are magic. They are the only ones that fit me throughout almost my entire pregnancy and the first ones I put on again three weeks after delivering. (Meanwhile, I can barely get a leg into my J Brands). I was so encouraged that I ordered some colored denim by Citizens and Hudson…no luck there and major blow to my ego. So, proceed with caution but CONGRATS on being back in the skinnies! You look fab!
EVERYONE seems to love AG. I am just now getting into them after all the girls at Anthro were sporting them recently. I bought the red pair and neon blue pair, but I love love love those dots – so cute with basically anything on top.
I tried on both of those an anthro – the polka dots are SO cute and yes AG are super comfy (I went with basic light blue instead). The Citizens are also super cute but I felt like the ran a bit small, and since I was trying on the white version, it wasn’t pretty. I may have to go back and retry in the blue…I say go for it, pretty patterns are always so fun
I know nothing about these jeans and am leery on the floral skinny, but you look hawt in those polka dots! TWO THUMBS WAY WAY UP!

I have the floral ones in the cream color–make sure you get the Thompson fit and not the Mandy fit! I tried both and the Mandy is high waisted and very long. The Thompson are way more flattering. BTW, you look great in polka dots!
The dots are super cute, but I think the florals are a bit much. They scream 80′s to me…but I may be the only person who feels that way!
I have the floral pants in cream and love them! Just make sure to get the Thompson fit and not the Mandy fit. The Mandy are real high-waisted and long (meant to be cuffed). The Thompson are more classic and very flattering. You look great in polka dots!

AG jeans are magic. Plain and simple – magic. I am a normal sized girl whose thighs touch a bit like every normal girls’ thighs, and BOOM…AG sucks it all in and slims everything. MAGIC. I stared and stared at the grey dot ones at Anthro this weekend. I should have bought them!
The jeans are fun and fab! In much the same way, I put off buying clothes for my “someday” body. I say don’t do it! It’s all about embracing today. Comfortable is always a plus, but a smart get up can really make a difference in how you feel each day.
I have a pair of AG denim shorts and they are the greatest thing I own. I have always had major trouble dinging denim shorts that weren’t too tight on my thighs making me look like a stuffed sausage, and they are just wonderful. I saw those jeans at anthro but was afraid I couldn’t pull them off! I will have to try them out.
I am a big fan of the statement pant! And since I just posted a tutorial on how to pimp Ikea pillows with a Sharpie . . . I am now wondering if it would work on jeans . . .?

AG Jeans are the most magical jeans that have ever existed. I am pretty much an exclusive AG wearer at this point (and have been since college). All other jeans I’ve tried either stretch in weird places, or are too tight in weird places. I love the stretch in AG’s, which also easily goes back into place with a quick wash. You look great! Congrats on your find.
AG jeans ARE magical. Which is a recent discovery for me, too. Something about the butt pocket placement and size, and the stretchy stretchy. I highly recommend the “super skinny ankle leggings.” They come in a variety of cute pastel colors this season. And fyi I have serious issues outfitting my pear shaped bod in skinnies. AG for the win!

Love, love, love. I love AG skinny jeans– to the point that I have the stevie in many different colors. LOVE THE POLKA DOTS! I also really like the floral ones but I love me a colored/patterned skinny. I agree, I’ve tried others (Current Elliot, J Brand, Citizens) and keep coming back to AG– they fit the best. I like Citizens and Joe’s for non-skinny jeans.
AG are my favorites! I still have a pair from college I wear! AG, J Brand, and Rich and Skinny are my go to brands- in that order!

I have a pair of coral red skinny stevie jeans from Anthropologie on at the moment. I even had a pair of AG maternity jeans i rocked until the very end of my pregnancy. Needless to say, they are very comfortable and fashionable, so do the damn thing and rock your jeans with pride.
I stole a pair of my mom’s AGs that feel like pajama pants… so comfy. I’m down with the dots.

I am now thinking that imma return those yellow ones for these adorable dots. I am intrigued by the floral jeans as well… I may have to go and try them on again!
The polka dots look so cute! I love them. I really like the fit of AGs in general. I am pro floral, neon, any pattern really, however I tried on several pairs of neons and was very sad when they made my thighs look sausagey. Leather leggings are also on my wish list…they have so much spandex that they just must suck it all in.
