Well, Thank You!

Everyone. The enthusiasm is very motivating. I wasn’t even going to post today, but here I am, all motivated and junk.

So to answer some of your questions…

Why does Peppermint Bliss all of a sudden look a little different/ghetto?

Actually, no one asked that. Which was surprising, but I can only assume it is because you are all lovely people. We are in a design transition over here, trying to get PB to coordinate with Biscuit, although PB will continue to be my own personal outlet to talk about whatever bizarre and self involved things pop into my head. Anyway, be patient as we adjust and modify, por favor. I will not be forsaking Peppermint Bliss for Biscuit. You have to have the salty and the sweet in your life, and PB is what brought me all this goodness.

Where in Houston will the store be?

I guess they call it “Upper Kirby” now? Kirby and Westheimer across from West Ave in Avalon Center.

Junk be looking scurry right now, but give me a few weeks and it’s going to sparkle!

Need a shop girl?

Why yes, I do actually. Stay tuned for that.

Will you be continuing to offer your design services?

I will…I think…I hope. I have a wait list right now that I am hoping to restart next week, but currently Gracie, Pete, our two dogs and myself are all living in about 200 sq feet together, so I don’t have a whole lot of space for privacy and to concentrate. Once I get into the space I will have an office and will get back to my design work!

What’s in a name? Why Biscuit?

Longtime readers may know that I refer to a bed as a Biscuit. Most of my friends do. Not sure if that is a common term or something one of us made up? Either way. Your bed is a delicious biscuit. If you need to fluff up your biscuit, get a better sheet situation, you need to Butter Your Biscuit. And while a biscuit should always be fluffy, it should be crisp as well. An essential balance of crispy sheets and a fluffy overall situation that makes for a most buttery, and ideal, Biscuit.

While we are starting with sheets, Biscuit the Brand aims to apply that philosophy to all areas of your home. Your whole home is really your Biscuit, and should be delicious. Hopefully we will provide you with the meltiest butter out there, and you’ll say:
This SHITS tha JAM!

See what I did there??

Ok, now for serious. If you didn’t follow us yesterday on twitter, or sign up for our mailing list, go do it now.

I’m not even going to get into how happy all this makes me. Because duh, it’s going to be awesome! But being pregnant, mostly what I got out of this post is your proximity to Avalon Diner… And THAT has me really pumped.

So excited to check it out! I’m moving to Houston soon (Dallas is home, but on a brief East Coast stint) and I can’t wait to be one of your new customers!

Wondering if it’s a Houstonian thing…my bestie calls it a Biscuit and she’s a native. And she’s a fab designer so I’ll send her right over.

    Excited! Go you.

How, for the love of all that is holy, are you doing it all? I signed up in a hot minute yesterday, and can’t wait to see the goods! You should do mixers called Biscuits and Bubbles and make delish biscuit combo’s with your fave champagne…not sure if biscuits pair particularly well with champagne, but I’m a sucker for alliteration!

If the store is anything like your previous homes, it’s going to be so awesome. Can’t wait to shop online and see the store when I’m in town visiting my mom. Just thought I would mention that “butter your biscuit” has an entry in the Urban Dictionary that you might want to read before using that slogan for advertising. hee, hee. Not that the particular meaning would be horrible for a store selling bedding…. or maybe that was the intent? Regardless- can’t wait to read updates and see your creations!
