I cannot even tell you how essential it is that today is Friday.

I have been running on fumes for days now. Moving homes and opening a store was probably too much to try and accomplish so close together. Especially when you are a complete control freak and have to have your hand in everything. Trying to remember all the advice from the other week about delegating more. Especially when I have such amazing ladies around me. I had planned on introducing you to my two business partners, and our two interns-turned-full-time-co-workers this week- but we ran out of time. Next week.

I am experiencing a new kind of tired. This body of mine is surprisingly strong for its size, but it just wasn’t made to move large furniture for days on end. I think there is a unique kind of exhaustion that I think comes from using your brain and body at an intense pace all day. I have usually only ever done one or the other at a time. Switching from doing our finances, to moving couches in and out of storage, to tracking orders and managing production, to building beds…At the end of the day I am mentally and physically exhausted. But then every morning I get to snuggle with this:

Or go see progress at the store like this:

Real signage!!

And I am re-energized for another day. But I think I am reaching the end of my reserves.

This is the “pretty messy” version of the office right now. It is actually much worse.

Laying out Gray’s work for a gallery wall.

Nothing sneaky about this peak. Wa-Bam.

Painting, cleaning, moving furniture wearing inappropriate footwear…

Then at the end of the day I get to come home to this. Well this, and a glass of wine (or hard liquor, sorry I’m not sorry), and then all is right in the world.

I am sure y’all are getting sick of these iPhone dumps. I would love to have something else to talk about, but all I do these days is work on the store, spend not enough time with my baby, spend even less enough time with my husband, watch Bravo and sleep. I was going to try and give you taste of the design work that has managed to go on in the midst of this mayhem, and introduce you to the ladies…But that is going to have to wait until next week.

When we may or may not have an announcement at some point.

Have a good weekend everyone!

Those are what my old roommate affectionately called “Wal-Mart Feet”. Sign of a job well done.

Good luck getting everything in place. We are in the market for some new bedding and hopefully Biscuit will fit the bill!

You are doing awesome. I cannot wait to buy those bicycles. make yourself and your family a priority if only for an afternoon. go do something fun… and then get yourself a massage… and have pete pick up takeout and some wine… and then after you are done eating… take your dogs and baby for a walk together. you’ll be as good as new!

i’ve made that spray paint flip flop mistake before. rookie mistake on my part. i now wear my old rain boots… and disposable medical gloves. but this is coming from the lady who accidentally sprayed herself directly in the face when she didn’t pay attention as to which way the can was facing.

love those chairs. fancy. very fancy.

I love the monogram under the dirty feet, please show more…of the monogram, not the feet.

Everything looks amazing so far and I can’t wait to see the finished product! Hope you get your R&R time soon but I’m sure it will all be worth it. Your “sorry I’m not sorry” comment literally made me laugh out loud. Good luck with everything and look forward to reading more!
