Behind The Print: The Pete & The Grace

Now things are getting personal.

Because this handsome print is named for my handsome husband, Pete.

His print was easy because hims so dapper! I knew we wanted a sort of traditional suiting fabric. A neutral print that would play well with the rest of our gang. The perfect date, if you will. Just like my man friend.

So what does Pete think?

Bailey: Do you like your print? Do you feel like it captures a part of your personality?

Pete: Yes, I wanted my namesake print to be a suiting print or plaid, because as Bailey always reminds me, I do have a passion for (mens) fashion. But I also wanted something clean and masculine, because I am super masculine and very clean. I like how the print is all of that, but still coordinates with the crazier prints in the line.

B: In your expert fancy-man opinion, how/where would you use it?

P: I think it should go in our future baby boys room. Right?

(Our “boy” room in Austin, this is Pete utilizing Oprah’s visualization dream tool, methinks.)

B: How do you feel about people sleeping on your face?

P: There is NO bigger compliment than when somebody sleeps on your face. At least that’s what our dog Bernie tells me every night.

You’re scandy and fun and I love you.

And I love The Pete print too.

I also SUPER love the Grace.

Obviously named for my bubble, in her signature colors pink & red, and her pattern hearts.

That’s an old picture, but you can see she has long rocked the pink/red/hearts look. BUBBLE!!

Inspired by the girl herself, but also for her birth announcements.

Gracie only has like 3 words in English:  “mama”, “dada”, and “NO!” Otherwise she speaks fluent Korean, which we discovered when she lost her mind watching the Gangnam Style video. So we will see how productive this interview is…

Bailey: Do you like your print? Do you feel like it captures a part of your personality?

Grace: 너무 귀여워

[I am told by Gracie’s translators that means “very cute” in Korean]

B: Where/how would you use it?

G: [points to crib and nods enthusiastically]

B: How do you feel about people sleeping on your face?

G: NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pete and Grace can come live with you! The prints, not the humans, the humans stay with me. But the print is 20% off until Friday, along with everything else in our online store through Friday thanks to Daily Candy with the code “candy” at check out.

GetIt.
