Not holding out on you…

Sorry! No gift guide today- not because you didn’t convince me to keep going with your wonderful feedback- we just got super behind yesterday thinking somehow we could say “yes” to two wonderful parties on the same night.

Not to mention Jordan is out this week (prayers for her please, everyone!) so Maddie and I were holding it down on our own. We got slammed with a major shipment of items yesterday- in a good way- that we then had to inventory, set up displays for, upload to web…

Then at 6:00 Maddie stayed at the store finishing up inventory and setting up for the Sloan/Hall holiday party, while I ran across town to the Youth Hope Association happy hour to drop off these beautiful scarves Isabel designed for the pediatric cancer patients at Texas Children’s Hospital.YHA is a great new organization for anyone in Houston looking to get involved. “What sets YHA apart is its local focus — the group serves patients undergoing treatment in Houston and puts all of the money raised here back into local facilities — and its outlook on volunteer participation — absent are the straits of minimum hours. A volunteer just has to be 18 years of age and willing to help.”

We were thrilled to be able to help out, and are looking forward to delivering the scarves to patients in January!

Then at 7:00 my knight in shimmery armor picked me up and hauled me back across town for the holiday party our neighbor Sloan/Hall was so gracious to include us in.

And I have to take a second to brag on my girl Maddie for a second. Lady majored in interior design, and is super talented, her resume was a whole visual presentation that blew me away. But she has really stepped it up learning graphic design to help us get the website where it should be.

Trust me, it is not easy to sit next to tech-challenged me while I give direction like “I think the sparkly things should be sparklier, but not too sequin-y, but like…festive”

Neither of us has any background in graphic design, and I am so proud of her and what she has learned and taught me and help me put together so far. Three cheers for Maddie!

We have worked hard to add pillows, throws, jewels, candles, art etc. to the site, and will be adding in new JellyCats and some SUPER cute trays and coasters we had done in our prints this afternoon. Printed queen duvets are supposed to arrive today, and will ship out to all of you gorgeous pre-order-ers soon after. So please consider some sum Biscuits for Christmas!

I will have the For Her installments of our gift guides tomorrow imma make ‘em extry good for your patience- and then next week some before/after design action that I am SO excited to show you, and more gift pairing ideas for hostess gifts, Mom, Dad, Boss etc.

What are you asking Santa for this year? I need some ideas to make this last guide extra special.
