Inspiration.

Biscuit’s Christina is getting married this summer to the handsome Paul (the inspiration behind the “Paul” print) in France- where her family is from- and she sent me this wedding the other day that I think we all need to consider for a moment.

Things you need to know:

 Crest by Happy Menocal.

That is a vintage wedding dress bought by the Bride’s grandmother and worn by her mother.

Ohh just a squillion peonies tumbling out of a milk bucket.

Lalanne sheep, you know how I feel about that.

But this, hilariously, is what the caption on the picture said:

“Lalanne sheep statues were grazing in a meadow of daisies, while nearby in a tree house, a lute, flute, and cello trio greeted guests.”

Oh no big deal. Just magic elvin musicians up in a tree, setting a mood.

Porthault table cloths?

Giant topiary chickens??

Oh, and don’t just assume like I did that the chic coolness is because this was in France somewhere. Because it was in Michigan.

I think I love these people.

How in the world did I “forget” the lute and flute players in a tree house?!?

Amazing. Jealous. Most of the time, I’m so glad I never have to plan another wedding… but every once in a while… a golden egg and sheep grazing in a courtyard…

I know this house in Michigan and the gardens are this amazing! In the images from the magazine you get a glimpse, but there is a garden house painted PINK. It really is amazing. Thanks to Kim for the additional images – the tent was freaking awesome.

Oh man, what a beautiful wedding. Weddings in France are the best. My husband and I got married outside of Bordeaux, it was the best week of my life. xoxo http://starbiesandsangrias.com/our-wedding/
