NO!!!!!!!!! Already this Friday the 13th is off to a wicked start. At 1:00 am last night Grace started inexplicably screaming and would not go back to sleep. Pete snuggled her in her bed, we put her in our bed, and finally I just got in bed with her. Where she did not sleep 30 minutes all night. And I did not sleep 30 minutes all night. THEN one of our dogs pooped on our floor, and another one of our dogs peed on the bed. All before 7:30 am. Awesome.
I really need this week to end. This week was not messing around.
Pete and I have continued to work through our list of to-do projects to “finish” up our house before the one year anniversary of our move-in.
Pete helped me hang some pictures we had framed, and ripped his trousers in the process.
I especially love seeing this piece (and puppy) that my friend Caitlin McGauley did of Clifford: The Big Red House, our first home in Chicago, every morning when I come downstairs.
Speaking of projects around the house, Pete still isn’t sold on updating Grace’s room. To me, it just doesn’t feel finished, and I think as we move her out of her crib and disassemble the changing table, it is going to feel even more bare. But I also think that I am likely a crazy person and am addicted to projects even as they threaten my sanity. So we are still deciding on using this wallpaper- although finding the perfect coordinating fabric does add points to the side of a re-do.
I am by far our most difficult and demanding “client”, so it is always a pleasure to check in our real client projects. These chairs are coming along quite well, just needs some minty green trim and they are ready to go to their new home!
Grace has been practicing for being a big sister. She really loves feeding Mommy at night. “Open, Mommy!!!!!”
I take Grace to school every morning, and afterwards, sometimes, I treat myself to a leisurely drive through the ‘hood. Her school is in a cute old neighborhood known as The Heights, and is filled with charming Victorian bungalows, and stunners like this one. The imagination cannot even fathom.
And finally, by far our biggest accomplishment this week and maybe ever, Team Biscuit wrapped up our photoshoot on our one-week makeover project. I still can’t believe we pulled it off, but I am SO proud of the results and can’t wait for y’all to see it NEXT WEEK!
And now I am off, like really off, going to Colorado where I have limited internet/cell service to celebrate birthdays and anniversary’s and have some quality time with our girl.
Hasta la weekend, babies!
